- Medium Pile the most popular pile used with emulsion paints and suitable for smooth and semi-smooth surfaces such as plaster, drywall and ceilings (including light to medium textured plasters such as artex)
- Ice Fusion is made from an advanced blend of polymers to give excellent loading, release and a trade quality ultra-smooth finish that is the closest to a spray finish you can achieve with a roller
- The key feature is Fused Fibre Technology, which is exclusive to ProDec
- The fibres are interwoven together, which increases their strength and makes the fabric lint-free: you can genuinely use Ice Fusion straight from the packaging without pre-washing and not have to worry about any fabric shedding as you paint that would slow you down
- Fused Fibre Technology makes the fibres semi-elastic: you’ll notice the fabric has a spongey feel when you handle it
- This means that during use the fibres bounce back into shape after they’ve been pressed against the surface, so with each stroke you get exactly the same finish quality as the last stroke, right up to the end of the job
- Ice Fusion is 12mm medium pile and is suitable for water-based emulsion paints (eg. matt, silk, eggshell) on smooth and semi-smooth surfaces such as plaster, drywall and ceilings (including light to medium textured plasters such as artex)
- If you're painting a rough surface such as masonry, choose a different roller that's engineered for textured surfaces such as ProDec's Heavy Duty range of rollers
- This roller is 9” width, which is ideal for interior walls and ceilings
- It has a 1.75" (44mm) trade diameter core, so ensure you have a compatible 1.75" diameter cage roller frame
- The roller comes in a handy foil sealed, airtight clip close bag, so if the job takes more than one day you can keep paint on the roller wet overnight and get straight back to work the next day
- Handy application hint: Fused Fibres are tightly woven, so it can take a couple of minutes, or a couple of loads, for the paint to work its way into the fabric
- For best results, load the roller with paint then leave it for 5-10 minutes to soak in
