Note: For a successful weld joint, the molten metal must be protected from contaminating gases found in the air. This is either achieved by supplying the torch with gas from a bottle or setting the machine up for no-gas and using a flux cored filler wire. The shield is produced as the flux in the wire melts. To connect a gas bottle to the welder, you may need a suitable regulator such as Draper Stock No.44352, or similar.
