Makita now operate an Authorised Dealer programme. Only Makita Authorised Dealers are authorised by Makita to distribute and deal in Makita products. Only Makita Authorised Dealers are entitled to display the Makita Authorised Dealer logo.

Makita 3 Year Extended Warranty

In addition to the standard 12 month warranty period, residents of the UK, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, can extend their warranty on Makita tools for a further two years if they register online at www.makitauk.com. For full terms & conditions, please see www.makitauk.com. The following types of tool are excluded from this offer:

• Batteries
• Chargers
• Accessories (drill bits, saw blades etc)
• Petrol products
• Production Tools
• Air Compressors

Makita Warranty Information

Every Makita product is thoroughly inspected before they leave the factory and can be guaranteed to be free of defects, in both workmanship and materials, for a period of one year beginning the date of the products original purchase.

Should the product develop any faults during it's first year of use, due to defective workmanship or materials, it can be packaged (complete) and freight prepaid to either an approved Area Service Agent or to Makita (UK) Ltd in Milton Keynes. Subject to inspection, the product will be repaired free of charge.

This guarantee does not apply where:

• Repairs have been made or attempted by others.
• Repairs are required because of normal wear and tear.
• The tool has been abused, misused or improperly maintained.
• Alterations have been made to the tool.

This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.

What is the Makita Policy on Warranties?

The manufacturer's guarantee is valid within the UK & Europe only. Makita products manufactured for sale outside of this area will not carry the CE approval mark (see below), and are not covered. For example: Makita machines manufactured in the USA are not covered in UK or Europe and will not be repaired under warranty.

All power tools supplied by Lawson H.I.S. Ltd carry the CE approval and full manufacturers UK warranty.
